Frequently Asked Questions
What is an OG image?
An OG (Open Graph) image is the preview image that appears when your page is shared on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Slack. A well-designed OG image increases click-through rates and makes your content stand out in feeds.
What dimensions should I use for OG images?
The standard OG image size is 1200 x 630 pixels, which works across most platforms. Twitter prefers 1200 x 675 for summary_large_image cards. For square images (Instagram or certain Slack contexts), 1200 x 1200 works well. This tool offers all three presets.
Can I use my own logo or branding?
Yes. Upload your logo using the logo section in the controls panel and it will be placed on the generated image. You can also customize background colors, gradients, and text color to match your brand identity.
What file format is the downloaded image?
Images are downloaded as PNG files, which is the recommended format for OG images. PNG provides good quality and is universally supported by social media platforms. The file size is typically under 1 MB, well within platform limits.
Are my settings saved between sessions?
Yes. Your template choice, text content, colors, and dimension preference are automatically saved in your browser's local storage. When you return, the tool restores your last configuration. Logo files are not persisted since they are loaded from your device.
